Twelve choirs from every county reach the national final, singing unaccompanied for a panel that gives nothing away.

The room at Kenya Cultural Centre was built for this: a wide standing floor, sightlines that hold up at the back, and a load-in that lets the headliner start on time.

Tickets are sold in three tiers and released in waves — the entry tier is genuinely the cheapest price this event will be listed at, and it does not come back once it is gone. Every ticket is a named digital pass, scanned once at the gate.
